What we collect
We only collect what is needed to build your presentation and get it to you. When you create a deck, that means:
- The presentation topic you type in, and any extra notes you add to steer the AI.
- The student details you enter for the title slide: full name, roll number or student ID, course or department, college or university, and the optional subtitle and guide or faculty name.
- An email address, used to send you the download link when your deck is ready. If a field is marked optional on the order form, leaving it blank is fine.
- The options you chose, such as theme, colour palette, background pattern, slide count, title and content layouts, tone and citation style. These are stored with the order so a re-download looks like the deck you approved.
- The generated files themselves — the .pptx and the PDF — plus the order record that ties them together.
If you create an account, we also hold your sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider. Accounts are entirely optional: the free tools on this site and the order form both work without one.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not store card numbers, CVV codes or bank credentials. Where a paid option is offered, payment is made by UPI and verified by a person on our side; we see the transaction reference you give us and nothing more sensitive than that. Practice mode is the clearest example of the same principle: the audio it listens to is processed in your browser and is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
Why we collect it
- To generate the outline and slides you asked for, and to lay them out with your details on the cover.
- To deliver the finished files, by download link and by email.
- To let you re-download or share a deck after the first visit, instead of building it again.
- To answer support requests about a specific order, and to keep the service working and free of abuse.
Where it is stored
Backend services, authentication and file storage run on Supabase. Generated files live in that storage so the download and share links keep working; the order record and your title slide details live in the same database. Email delivery of the download link is handled by a separate email provider. Both are processors acting on our instructions, not independent owners of your data.
How long we keep it
Order records and generated files are kept while the download and share links need to work, and afterwards only as long as necessary for support, accounting and abuse prevention. When that period ends, the files are removed from storage and the order record is deleted or stripped of the personal details.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. The only disclosures are to the service providers that make the product work — hosting, database and file storage, AI providers that write the slide text, and the email provider that sends the download link — and where we are legally required to respond to a valid request from an authority.
Your choices and deletion
You can ask us to delete an order, its generated files and the personal details attached to it. Use the contact page and include the order ID, the topic and the email address you used, so we can find the right record. We will confirm once it is done. A limited record may be retained where the law, tax rules or an ongoing dispute require it, but the files and title-slide details are removed.
If you have an account, you can also stop using it at any time and ask for it to be closed.
Cookies and analytics
There are no third-party advertising cookies on this site. Visitor numbers are counted with our own first-party, privacy-respecting analytics: we record aggregate page views and coarse signals such as referrer and device type so we can tell which tools are useful. Those records are not used to build an advertising profile of you and are not shared with an ad network. Where a session or preference needs to persist — signing in, or remembering an in-progress order draft — a small first-party entry is used for that purpose only.
Students under 18
SlideForge is built for college students, but some of you are still minors. We ask for nothing more than the details your title slide needs, we do not run interest-based advertising, and a parent or guardian can ask us to delete an order in the same way you can.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we hold or what we do with it, we will update this page and change the date shown below. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
